The EJB24090 is designed exclusively for use in Square D NF series lighting panelboards. It is not compatible with NQ or QO panelboards.
Can I use the EJB24090 to replace an EDB24090 or EGB24090?
Yes. The EJB24090 shares the exact same physical E-frame dimensions but offers a higher interrupting rating of 65kAIC at 480Y/277VAC. It serves as a direct, code-compliant upgrade for the 18kAIC EDB24090 or the 35kAIC EGB24090.
What is the recommended tightening torque for the EJB24090 load lugs?
The required torque depends on the wire gauge. Apply 34.5 lb-in for 14 to 10 AWG conductors, and 49.6 lb-in for 8 to 2/0 AWG conductors.
What does the J in the EJB24090 catalog number signify?
In Square D E-frame breakers, the second letter indicates the interrupting rating tier at 480Y/277VAC. The J designates a 65kAIC rating, which is the highest in this family compared to the D (18kAIC) and G (35kAIC) versions.
Is the EJB24090 suitable for reverse feeding applications?
Yes. Standard Square D E-frame breakers like the EJB24090 do not have Line and Load markings. This means they are UL listed for bidirectional current flow and can be safely reverse fed for use as backfed main breakers.
Does the EJB24090 require a separate mounting kit for installation?
No. As a bolt-on breaker, it mounts directly to the busbar of a Square D NF panelboard using its integrated hardware.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
