No. The FA34040 features an I-Line style plug-in connection and is designed exclusively for Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It will not mount into NQ, NF, or standard QO load centers.
Is the Square D FA34040 still being manufactured?
No, the legacy Square D F-frame series is obsolete and has been discontinued by Schneider Electric. Replacements or upgrades typically require migrating to the newer PowerPact B-frame or H-frame series, such as the BDA36040 or HDA36040, depending on your specific panel requirements.
What size wire can be used with the standard lugs on the FA34040?
The factory-installed lugs accept wire gauges ranging from 14 AWG up to 1/0 AWG. The terminals are rated to accept either copper or aluminum conductors.
Can the FA34040 be used in direct current (DC) systems?
Yes. While commonly deployed in 480VAC or 240VAC applications, this breaker is also certified for use in direct current systems up to 250VDC, where it provides a 10kA interrupting capacity.

Expedited Shipments

The Square D FA32100 circuit breaker (refurbished) was as good as a new breaker, without exception. There was no wear and tear or any marks at all. It was basically new. It is an excellent choice and a great product without having to pay the cost of a new breaker.
