The FCP34020 is a legacy F-Frame breaker. For modern system upgrades or replacements, it crosses over to the Square D HJL36020, which is a PowerPacT H-Frame circuit breaker with equivalent electrical ratings.
What equipment is the FCP34020 designed to fit?
This bolt-on molded case circuit breaker is engineered for installation in compatible Square D panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers. It is not designed for I-Line plug-on panels.
What wire gauge is supported by the terminals on this breaker?
The included lugs accept wire sizes ranging from 14 AWG to 1/0 AWG. The terminals are rated for both copper and aluminum conductors.
How does the LI trip function operate on the FCP34020?
The LI designation means the thermal-magnetic trip unit provides Long-Time (L) protection for overloads and Instantaneous (I) protection for short circuits. Both the thermal and magnetic trip points are fixed and cannot be field adjusted.
What is the interrupting capacity of this breaker at different voltages?
The FCP34020 features an extra-high interrupting rating of 65 kAIC when used on 480VAC systems. If installed in a 240VAC application, the interrupting capacity increases to 100 kAIC.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
