Product FAQs
6 answers
What panelboards are compatible with the FH26060 circuit breaker?
This breaker is designed exclusively for Square D I-Line panelboards and switchboards. It will not fit in standard QO, NQ, or NF load centers.
What is the difference between Square D FA and FH frame circuit breakers?
The FH series offers a higher interrupting capacity than the standard FA series. While a standard FA breaker typically provides 18kAIC at 480V, the FH26060 provides 25kAIC at 480V for systems with higher available fault currents.
Is the FH26060 obsolete, and what is the direct replacement?
Yes, Square D legacy F-frame circuit breakers are obsolete. The modern replacement is the PowerPact H-frame series, such as the HGA260601, for I-Line panelboards requiring similar voltage and interrupting ratings.
How does the I-Line mounting system work on this breaker?
The breaker features plug-on jaws that grip the panelboard bus bars directly for the phase connections. A retaining bracket and mounting screw secure the opposite end of the breaker to a round hole on the panel backpan.
Can the trip settings on the FH26060 be adjusted in the field?
No. This breaker features a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit. The long-time overload and instantaneous short-circuit protection settings are factory-calibrated and cannot be modified.
What wire sizes do the standard lugs on this breaker accept?
The factory lugs accept 14 to 1/0 AWG copper conductors or 12 to 1/0 AWG aluminum conductors. Installers must apply the specific torque values printed on the breaker faceplate when terminating wires.
