Yes. Standard thermal-magnetic PowerPacT H-frame circuit breakers, including the HDL36060, are suitable for reverse-feed applications. They do not have line and load side restrictions for incoming power.
What is the continuous current rating of the HDL36060?
The HDL36060 is a standard 80% rated circuit breaker. A 100% rated version would require a "C" suffix in the catalog number (e.g., HDL36060C).
Are auxiliary switches or shunt trips field installable on this breaker?
Yes. The PowerPacT H-frame design supports a wide range of field-installable internal accessories, including auxiliary contacts, alarm switches, shunt trips, and undervoltage releases. These accessories mount directly behind the front accessory cover.
Will the HDL36060 install into a standard I-Line panelboard?
No. The HDL36060 features a unit-mount (feed-thru) design utilizing lugs on both the line and load sides. For direct installation into an I-Line panelboard, a plug-in H-frame circuit breaker such as the HDA36060 is required.
Can this breaker be mounted on a DIN rail?
Yes. The HDL36060 can be mounted to a standard 35mm DIN rail, but it requires a separate rear mounting kit (Square D catalog number S29305).
Is the HDL36060 a replacement for the older FAL36060 circuit breaker?
Yes. The PowerPacT H-frame series is the modern replacement for discontinued legacy F-frame breakers. The HDL36060 is the functional equivalent to the FAL36060, though physical dimensions and mounting footprints differ, so panel modifications may be required during a retrofit.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
