The factory-installed AL150HD lugs accept one 14 AWG to 3/0 AWG aluminum or copper wire per terminal.
Can the HDL36150 be reverse fed?
Yes, thermal-magnetic PowerPacT H-frame breakers are suitable for reverse feeding. The line and load connections are not restricted to specific sides, allowing incoming power to be connected to either end.
Can the HDL36150 be mounted on a DIN rail?
Yes. While this PowerPacT H-frame breaker is a unit-mount device by default, it can be attached to a standard 35mm DIN rail by installing a compatible adapter, such as the Schneider Electric S29305 DIN rail mounting kit.
Is the HDL36150 suitable for direct current (DC) circuits?
Yes, this thermal-magnetic breaker is rated for DC applications up to 250VDC, offering an interrupting capacity of 20 kAIC at that voltage.
What is the difference between the HDL36150 and the HGL36150, HJL36150, or HLL36150 breakers?
The third letter in the catalog number indicates the short-circuit interrupting rating. The HDL36150 has a D-rated interrupting capacity (18 kAIC at 480VAC), whereas the G, J, and L versions offer progressively higher interrupting ratings (35 kA, 65 kA, and 100 kA at 480VAC respectively). The physical dimensions and footprint remain identical across these variants.
Is the HDL36150 rated for continuous operation at 100 percent of its current rating?
No, this is a standard-rated circuit breaker. Per National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines, it is intended to be loaded continuously at a maximum of 80 percent of its 150-amp rating.
Does the HDL36150 provide ground fault protection?
No. This breaker is equipped with standard Long-Time and Instantaneous (LI) trip functions for overload and short-circuit protection. It does not provide equipment ground fault or personal ground fault (GFCI) protection.
What internal accessories can be field-installed in the HDL36150?

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
