6 answersCan I install the HOM240GFI in a Square D QO or non-Square D panel?
No. This breaker is specifically designed and UL listed only for use in Square D Homeline load centers. It will not fit QO panels or other manufacturers' enclosures.
What class of ground fault protection does the HOM240GFI provide?
It provides Class A ground fault protection, meaning it is designed to trip when a fault current to ground reaches 6 milliamperes (mA) or more, protecting personnel from electrical shock.
Does this breaker require a load neutral connection for straight 240V applications?
No. For straight 240V loads that do not use a neutral, you do not need to connect a load neutral to the breaker. However, the breaker's white pigtail wire must still be connected to the panel's neutral bus bar for the internal GFCI circuitry to function.
What is the recommended tightening torque for the load terminals on this breaker?
The screw clamp terminals should be torqued to 40.7 lb-in (4.6 N.m) for both copper and aluminum wire connections.
Is the HOM240GFI rated for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment?
Yes, this breaker is HACR rated, making it suitable for protecting dedicated HVAC and refrigeration circuits that require 40A GFCI protection.
Does this breaker provide Arc Fault (AFCI) protection?
No. The HOM240GFI is a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) only. It does not provide Arc Fault (AFCI) or Dual Function (DF) protection.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
