Both are 500A, 3-pole legacy M-Frame circuit breakers, but they have different interrupting ratings. The MHL36500 is the high-interrupting capacity version, rated at 65kAIC at 480V. The MAL36500 is the standard-interrupting version, rated at 30kAIC at 480V.
What lug kit does the MHL36500 use, and what wire sizes does it accept?
The standard mechanical lug kit for this breaker is the Square D AL900MA. Each kit includes one lug, which accepts three (3) 3/0 AWG to 500 kcmil aluminum or copper wires per phase.

Expedited Shipments
