4 answersWhat is the modern replacement for the obsolete Q1B360 breaker?
The Q1B series has been superseded by the Square D QOB series. To replace a Q1B360 with a modern QOB360 in an existing NQO or NQOB panelboard, you must use an SK5668 mounting assembly kit to adapt the new breaker to the older bus structure.
Which panelboards are designed to accept the Q1B360?
This breaker is engineered specifically for legacy Square D NQO and NQOB panelboards. It will not fit in standard QO load centers or newer NQ panelboards.
Is the Q1B360 suitable for use on 277/480V commercial systems?
No. The Q1B360 has a maximum voltage rating of 240VAC. Applying this breaker to a 480V system exceeds its insulation and interrupting capabilities, creating a significant electrical hazard.
What type of wire conductors are compatible with the Q1B360 lugs?
The factory-installed box lugs are designed to accept either copper or aluminum wiring ranging from #8 to #2 AWG. Ensure all connections are properly torqued to manufacturer specifications to prevent overheating.

Free Shipping Policy

Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
