The "WL" suffix signifies that the circuit breaker is shipped from the factory with both line and load mechanical lugs installed. Without this suffix, the breaker is supplied as a bare frame with a trip unit, requiring separate lug kits.
What panel types are compatible with this GE K-Frame breaker?
As a unit-mount, feed-thru breaker, it bolts directly to the backpan of compatible GE switchboards, motor control centers, and standalone industrial enclosures. It does not plug onto a busbar and is incompatible with plug-in style panelboards like GE Spectra.
How is the trip unit adjusted on this thermal-magnetic breaker?
The long-time thermal overload protection is fixed at the 800A rating and cannot be changed. However, the instantaneous magnetic short-circuit pickup is field-adjustable using the tuning dial located on the face of the trip unit.
Can the factory lugs accommodate aluminum conductors?
Yes, the mechanical lugs included with the "WL" configuration are dual-rated for both copper and aluminum wire. Each phase lug accepts three parallel conductors, sized from 3/0 AWG to 500 kcmil.
Is it safe to adjust the magnetic trip dial while the breaker is energized?
No. To comply with NFPA 70E and standard safety practices, you must fully de-energize the panel and verify the absence of voltage before opening the enclosure to adjust the trip unit dials or service terminations.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
