No, the MA3500S is an obsolete legacy M-Frame circuit breaker originally manufactured by Westinghouse (now Eaton). For new installations or direct modern replacements, Eaton recommends the Series C MDL3500.
What enclosures and panelboards are compatible with the MA3500S?
This bolt-on breaker is specifically designed to fit into vintage Westinghouse PRL4 panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers.
How is the trip unit configured on this breaker?
The MA3500S features an interchangeable thermal-magnetic trip unit. It provides fixed thermal protection for overloads (Long-Time) and an adjustable magnetic dial for short-circuit (Instantaneous) protection.
Can the MA3500S replace an HMA3500 breaker?
Both breakers share the same physical M-Frame dimensions and mounting footprint. However, the HMA3500 is a high-interrupting version. You can only use the MA3500S as a replacement if your system's available fault current does not exceed its standard interrupting ratings.
How are the wire connections made on the MA3500S?
As a bolt-on breaker, the line side typically bolts directly to the panelboard bus. The load side is equipped with mechanical lug terminals to accept the outgoing conductors.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
