Description

Built for commercial and industrial applications, the Zinsco QFL2150 is a 2-pole, 150A unit mount molded case circuit breaker. It provides reliable thermal-magnetic protection for legacy electrical systems requiring a 10kAIC interrupt rating at 120/240VAC. This feed-through main breaker installs into older Zinsco panelboards and switchboards without requiring specialized adapters. For modern equivalents, this discontinued frame is replaced by the Connecticut Electric UBITBFP1502.

Product FAQs

4 answers
What enclosures accept the Zinsco QFL2150?

This breaker is designed for installation in legacy Zinsco panelboards and switchboards configured for QFL-frame feed-thru circuit breakers.

Is there a modern replacement for the discontinued QFL2150?

Yes, the Connecticut Electric UBITBFP1502 serves as a modern, direct replacement for this obsolete 150A Zinsco frame.

How does a feed-thru breaker like the QFL2150 connect to the system?

As a unit-mount, feed-thru breaker, it mounts independently within the enclosure and connects to the circuit using line and load lugs, rather than plugging directly onto a panel busbar.

Are Zinsco panels safe to maintain with replacement breakers?

While replacement breakers can restore functionality to existing systems, original Zinsco equipment is obsolete. Many licensed electricians recommend upgrading legacy Zinsco panels when feasible due to documented historical reliability and safety concerns.
