5 answersWhat is the difference between Siemens BQD and CQD circuit breakers?
Both share the same 1-inch per pole frame size, but they differ in mounting and terminal configurations. The CQD series mounts on a DIN rail or surface and includes lugs on both the line and load ends. The BQD series is designed for panelboards and only includes lugs on the load end.
Is the CQD120 rated for switching lighting loads?
Yes. As a 1-pole 20A breaker, it is SWD (Switching Duty) rated for fluorescent lighting and HID rated for high-intensity discharge lighting. It is also HACR rated for heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Can the Siemens CQD120 be reverse fed?
Yes. Siemens CQD molded case circuit breakers are UL Listed for reverse feed applications.
Can I add a shunt trip or auxiliary switch to the CQD120?
No. Internal accessories such as shunt trips, auxiliary switches, and alarm switches mount on the left side of the breaker and are not supported on single-pole CQD models.
How is the CQD120 secured inside a control panel?
The breaker can be independently mounted onto a standard customer-supplied DIN rail or bolted directly to a backplate or surface.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
