The CQD320 is designed to snap directly onto a standard 35mm DIN rail. This makes it ideal for OEM control panels and machinery where DIN rail mounting is used, rather than traditional panelboard bolt-on connections.
What is the difference between Siemens CQD and BQD circuit breakers?
Both series share the same 1-inch per pole width and internal mechanisms, but they use different mounting styles. The CQD series is designed for DIN rail mounting, while the BQD series is designed for panelboard or bolt-on installations.
Can the CQD320 breaker be reverse fed?
Yes, Siemens CQD circuit breakers are UL Listed for reverse feed applications. Because they feature a non-interchangeable trip unit, power can be supplied to either the line or load side terminals safely.
What type of wire connections does this breaker use?
It features a feed-thru connection with factory-installed mechanical lugs on both the line and load sides. The lugs accept 14 to 6 AWG copper wire or 12 to 6 AWG aluminum wire.
Can I add accessories like a shunt trip to the CQD320?
Yes, the CQD frame supports field-installable internal accessories such as shunt trips, auxiliary switches, and alarm switches. These accessory modules mount to the left side of the circuit breaker.
Is this breaker suitable for direct current (DC) applications?
Yes, in addition to its AC ratings, the CQD320 is rated for use on 125/250VDC systems with an interrupting capacity of 14kAIC.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
