Designed for reliable power distribution, this 30A Sentron series MCCB handles commercial and industrial electrical loads. The breaker mounts onto standard DIN rails and is fully compatible with Siemens P1, P2, and P3 panelboards. With a high 65kAIC rating at 120/240VAC, it provides exceptional fault protection using fixed thermal and magnetic trip elements. The device supports reverse feeding and includes factory-installed line and load lugs for streamlined wiring in tight panel spaces.
What is the difference between Siemens BQD and CQD circuit breakers?
Both are 1-inch wide breakers, but they have different mounting and connection styles. The BQD is designed for panelboard mounting with load-side lugs only. The CQD features lugs on both the line and load ends for feed-thru wiring and can be mounted on a standard DIN rail or bolted directly to a surface.
Is the Siemens CQD130 rated for reverse feed applications?
Yes, Siemens CQD frame circuit breakers are UL Listed for reverse feed applications, allowing power to be supplied to either the line or load terminals.
Can the CQD130 be used for switching High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting?
Yes, Siemens single-pole CQD breakers from 15A to 50A are tested and marked for use with HID lighting applications.
Is this 30A breaker SWD rated for switching fluorescent lighting?
No, the SWD (Switching Duty) marking on Siemens CQD breakers only applies to 15A and 20A single-pole models. The 30A CQD130 does not carry the SWD rating.
Does the CQD130 carry an HACR rating?
Yes, Siemens CQD breakers from 15A to 100A are HACR marked, making them suitable for group motor applications in heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
Does the CQD130 require a specific Siemens panelboard for installation?
No. While it is compatible with Siemens P1, P2, and P3 panelboards, the CQD frame features line and load lugs for feed-thru wiring. This allows it to be independently mounted on a standard DIN rail or bolted directly to a backpan in custom control panels.
Does the Siemens CQD130 carry a CE mark for European applications?
Yes, 15A to 30A Siemens CQD circuit breakers meet IEC 60947-2 standards and carry the CE mark for international use.
