No. The B3100 is a Type BL bolt-on circuit breaker designed exclusively for commercial and industrial panelboards, including the Siemens P1, P2, P3, P4, and P5 series. It is incompatible with standard residential load centers, which require plug-on breakers like the Type QP.
Are there direct alternatives to the B3100 with higher interrupting ratings?
Yes. The standard B3100 (Type BL) provides a 10kAIC interrupting rating at 240VAC. For applications requiring greater short-circuit protection, Siemens offers the B3100H (Type BLH) rated at 22kAIC, and the B3100HH (Type HBL) rated at 65kAIC at 240VAC.
What wire types and sizes are compatible with the B3100 load lugs?
The factory-installed lugs accept both copper and aluminum wiring. For copper conductors, the supported range is 4 AWG to 1/0 AWG. For aluminum conductors, use 2 AWG to 1/0 AWG. Ensure all connections are torqued to the specifications printed directly on the breaker label during installation.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
