Description
Designed for installation flexibility, the HKD3300W is a 3-pole, 300A Series C molded case circuit breaker. It is supplied without terminals, allowing contractors to install custom lug kits. The breaker mounts into Eaton panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers. Omitting standard lugs accommodates specialized wire setups. It replaces the KD3300W. This thermal-magnetic unit provides a high interrupting capacity of 65 kAIC at 480VAC and is fully HACR rated.Specifications

What is the difference between the standard KD3300 and the HKD3300W?
The "H" in the HKD prefix designates it as the high-interrupting capacity version. While a standard KD breaker is rated for 35 kAIC at 480 Vac, the HKD3300W provides a higher 65 kAIC interrupting rating at 480 Vac.
How does the adjustable magnetic trip work on the HKD3300W?
The breaker features a fixed thermal and adjustable magnetic (LI) trip unit. The instantaneous magnetic trip can be adjusted between 5 to 10 times the continuous 300A rating, allowing you to set the short-circuit trip threshold from 1500A to 3000A for proper system coordination.

Yes, Eaton Series C K-Frame breakers accept a variety of internal accessories, including shunt trips, auxiliary switches, and undervoltage releases (UVR). These components are installed internally under the front cover of the breaker.
What type of fault protection does the HKD3300W trip unit provide?
The thermal-magnetic trip unit provides long-time (L) protection for continuous overloads and instantaneous (I) protection for short circuits. It does not include short-time delay or ground fault protection functions.

Expedited Shipments
