This plug-on breaker is designed exclusively for Square D QO load centers and NQ panelboards. It is not compatible with Square D Homeline or panels from other manufacturers.
How many panel spaces does the QO340EPD require?
As a 3-pole QO breaker, it requires three standard 0.75-inch spaces in a compatible 3-phase QO or NQ panel.
What does the EPD designation mean on this breaker?
EPD stands for Equipment Protection Device. It provides a 30mA Class B ground fault trip threshold designed to protect machinery and equipment, such as heat tracing or snow melting systems, rather than personnel.
What is the difference between this EPD breaker and a standard GFCI?
A standard GFCI breaker trips at a 5mA threshold to protect personnel from electrical shock. This EPD breaker trips at 30mA to prevent equipment damage while avoiding nuisance tripping on systems with higher natural leakage current.
How is the neutral connection handled during installation?

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
