6 answersWhich load centers are compatible with the QOM40L main breaker?
It is designed for use in Square D QO and Homeline convertible load centers that specifically accept QOM1 frame main breakers. It will not fit panels designed for the larger QOM2 frame.
How does the QOM40L mount into the load center?
Unlike standard plug-on branch breakers, this is a bolt-on main breaker. It fastens directly to the bus assembly of convertible QO and Homeline panels using mounting screws to ensure a secure connection for main service power.
What type of conductors can be used with the QOM40L box lugs?
The factory-installed box lugs accommodate 12 AWG through 2/0 AWG wire and are rated for both aluminum and copper conductors. Ensure proper torque is applied during installation as specified on the breaker label.
Is the 10kAIC rating sufficient for main service applications?
A 10kA interrupting rating at 120/240VAC is standard for many residential subpanels and small services. However, you must verify that the available fault current at your panel location does not exceed 10,000 amps.
How does the QOM40L indicate a tripped condition?

Expedited Shipments
