No. This breaker is exclusively designed for Square D Homeline load centers. It will not fit in QO series panels.
Where does the white pigtail wire connect during installation?
The white pigtail wire must be connected directly to the neutral bus bar in your Homeline load center. This connection is required to power the breaker's internal ground fault circuitry, regardless of the load type.
Can this 2-pole GFCI breaker protect a 240V load that does not use a neutral wire?
Yes. It can protect straight 240V loads without a load neutral, such as certain hot tubs or well pumps. However, the breaker's white pigtail must still be connected to the panel's neutral bus bar for the GFCI electronics to function.
What level of ground fault protection does this breaker provide?
It provides Class A ground fault protection. This means the breaker is designed to trip when a fault current to ground reaches 4 to 6 milliamperes, providing personnel protection against electrical shock.
Does this breaker provide arc fault (AFCI) protection?
No. The HOM250GFI provides ground fault (GFCI), overload, and short-circuit protection only. It is not a dual-function or combination AFCI breaker.
What is the difference between the HOM250GFI and HOM250GFIC?
They are the exact same 50A GFCI circuit breaker. The "C" suffix simply indicates clamshell retail packaging, while the standard part number is typically used for bulk or distributor packaging.
How do I verify the GFCI protection is functioning after installation?
Once installed and energized, press the test button on the front of the breaker. This simulates a ground fault and should immediately trip the breaker. Manufacturers recommend performing this test monthly.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
