Engineered for commercial applications, the Siemens BE115H delivers 30mA ground fault equipment protection (GFEP). This 15-amp breaker safeguards machinery from damaging line-to-ground faults rather than serving as personnel protection. Designed for seamless integration, it mounts into Siemens P1, P2, and P3 panelboards. The bolt-on configuration ensures a secure connection, replacing the B115EGH. Rated at 22 kAIC, this Type BLEH breaker features thermal-magnetic trip technology.
What is the difference between the BE115H and a standard GFCI breaker?
The BE115H is a Ground Fault Equipment Protection (GFEP) breaker with a 30mA trip threshold, designed to protect machinery and equipment from damaging low-level faults. Standard GFCI breakers have a 5mA trip threshold and are intended strictly for personnel protection.
What does the H in the BE115H catalog number indicate?
The H indicates a high interrupting rating. The BE115H is rated for 22kAIC at 120VAC, whereas the standard BE115 model has a 10kAIC rating.
Which panelboards are compatible with the BE115H breaker?
This bolt-on breaker is designed for seamless integration into Siemens P1, P2, and P3 commercial panelboards.
How is the neutral connected for the ground fault sensing to function?
The BE115H features a pigtail neutral wire that must be connected directly to the panelboard neutral bus bar to properly monitor the circuit for ground faults.
Can this breaker replace older Siemens equipment protection breakers?
Yes, the BE115H serves as a direct replacement for older 15A, 22kAIC bolt-on GFEP installations, including the legacy B115EGH model.
Is the BE115H suitable for protecting bathroom or kitchen receptacles?
No. Because it is a 30mA GFEP breaker designed for equipment protection, it does not meet the 5mA Class A GFCI requirements for personnel protection in wet areas like bathrooms or kitchens.
