Part of the Quicklag family, the Eaton QBGF1020 provides 5mA ground fault protection for 20A commercial circuits. It combines standard thermal-magnetic defense with sensitive leakage detection. This bolt-on miniature breaker installs into Eaton Pow-R-Line and Quicklag panelboards. Note that this model has been superseded by the QBGFT1020 self-testing version. This BAB-frame breaker is designed for bolt-on installation in Eaton Pow-R-Line and legacy Cutler-Hammer Quicklag panelboards.
How is the pigtail neutral connected on this breaker?
The QBGF1020 includes a coiled white pigtail wire that must be landed directly on the panel's neutral bus bar. This connection is required to power the internal circuitry that monitors for ground faults.
What level of ground fault protection does this breaker provide?
It provides Class A ground fault protection with a 5mA trip threshold. This level of sensitivity is required by the National Electrical Code (NEC) for personnel protection in locations where water or moisture may be present.
Can the QBGF1020 be used for equipment ground fault protection (GFEP)?
No. This breaker trips at 5mA for personnel safety. For equipment protection, which typically requires a 30mA trip threshold, you need a breaker from the QBGFEP series.
What is the difference between the QBGF1020 and the QBHGF1020?
The main difference is the short-circuit interrupting rating. The QBGF1020 is rated for 10 kAIC at 120V, while the QBHGF1020 provides a higher 22 kAIC rating. Both are bolt-on GFCI breakers with identical physical dimensions.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
