The CH260 is designed exclusively for use in Eaton and legacy Cutler-Hammer Type CH load centers. It will not fit in Eaton BR panels or load centers from other manufacturers.
How much panel space does the CH260 require?
This 2-pole breaker requires two 3/4-inch spaces, taking up a total of 1.5 inches of width on the bus bar in a Type CH load center.
Is the Eaton CH260 HACR rated?
Yes, this breaker is HACR rated, making it suitable for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment that requires this specific rating.
Is the Cutler-Hammer CH260 the same as the Eaton CH260?
Yes. Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer and continues to manufacture the Type CH breaker line. A new Eaton CH260 is the direct, exact replacement for an older Cutler-Hammer CH260.
Does this breaker feature a common trip mechanism?
Yes, the CH260 is a common trip breaker. If an overload or short circuit occurs on either leg of the 240V circuit, the internal mechanism will trip both poles simultaneously to completely de-energize the circuit.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.

When our main breaker frizzed out, the option we were presented with was replacing the entire panel and service due to the type and part - no longer produced for replacement parts. It would be a $6500 replacement.
We'll likely have to do it at some point but, for now, the replacement breaker we were able to source from Superbreakers (with a $25 warranty) was $5900 less expensive. installation ran a few hundred dollars and the tech said the part looked to be in excellent condition and was prepped for install as he would have hoped.
