5 answersWhat is the difference between Eaton GHC and GHB circuit breakers?
While both are G-frame breakers with similar electrical profiles, their mounting methods differ. The GHC is a unit-mount, cable-in and cable-out breaker that fastens directly to a backpan. The GHB is a bolt-on breaker designed to attach to the busbars of Eaton panelboards.
Can the Eaton GHC1080 replace older Westinghouse GHC breakers?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse distribution equipment division. The modern Eaton GHC1080 is a direct, drop-in replacement for the legacy Westinghouse GHC1080, maintaining the exact same physical dimensions and trip characteristics.
Can this unit-mount breaker be installed on a DIN rail?
Yes. Although it is natively designed to bolt directly to a panel backpan, it can be mounted onto a standard 35mm DIN rail by attaching a compatible Eaton DIN rail adapter base.
Does this breaker provide ground fault or equipment protection?
No. This model features standard thermal-magnetic trip technology for overload and short-circuit protection only. It does not include ground fault circuit interruption (GFCI) or equipment protection device (EPD) capabilities.
Is this breaker rated for direct current (DC) control circuits?
Yes. Unlike standard AC-only breakers, this model is fully rated for direct current applications up to 125VDC. This makes it suitable for battery backup systems, solar installations, and industrial DC control panels.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
