This Q-Line bolt-on breaker is designed specifically for installation in commercial GE A-Series panelboards. It will not fit standard residential GE PowerMark load centers, which require plug-on breakers.
It features a bolt-on connection type. The breaker bolts directly to the busbar of compatible GE A-Series panelboards, ensuring a secure connection for commercial and industrial applications.
The breaker's lugs are rated to accept 14 AWG to 8 AWG wire. They are compatible with both copper (Cu) and aluminum (Al) conductors.
It utilizes a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit. This provides standard long-time (thermal) protection against overloads and instantaneous (magnetic) protection against short circuits.
Yes, in addition to its 240VAC rating, this breaker is rated for 125/250VDC applications, providing a 5kA interrupting capacity for DC systems.
The breaker has a maximum interrupting rating of 22kAIC at 240VAC, though it is also rated for 10kAIC at 120/240VAC depending on the specific system voltage and application.
ABB acquired GE Industrial Solutions in 2018. As a result, newly manufactured TE frame breakers may carry the ABB brand, while older stock carries the GE logo. Both are identical in fit and function.
