This compact, bolt-on circuit breaker is designed specifically for use in ABB / GE A-Series commercial lighting panelboards. It will not fit standard residential load centers, which require plug-on Q-Line or THQB breakers.
How does the TEY3100 differ from TEYF, TEYD, TEYH, and TEYL breakers?
These models share the same physical 1-inch per pole frame, but they offer different short circuit interrupting ratings at 480Y/277VAC. The standard TEY provides 14kAIC, while the TEYF (18kAIC), TEYD (25kAIC), TEYH (35kAIC), and TEYL (65kAIC) offer progressively higher interrupting capacities for applications with higher available fault current.
Can the TEY3100 be used in direct current (DC) systems?
Yes. In addition to alternating current applications, the TEY3100 is rated for use on systems up to 250VDC, providing a 10kAIC interrupting capacity for industrial DC distribution and control circuits.
Is this breaker certified for HVAC and commercial lighting loads?
Yes. The TEY3100 carries special markings for both HACR (Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) and HID (High Intensity Discharge) applications. This ensures it is certified to handle the inrush currents typical of commercial HVAC compressors and high intensity lighting circuits.
Are the load lugs rated for both copper and aluminum conductors?
Yes, the integral load lugs are dual-rated. They accept 4 AWG to 1/0 AWG copper wire or 2 AWG to 1/0 AWG aluminum wire.

Expedited Shipments
