This bolt-on F-frame circuit breaker is designed for use in Square D panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers that accept legacy FCL or F-frame breakers.
What wire sizes and materials are accepted by the lugs on this breaker?
The line and load side lugs accept 14 AWG to 1/0 AWG wire. They are rated for both copper and aluminum conductors.
What does the LI trip function indicate on the FCP34100?
The LI designation means the thermal magnetic trip unit provides Long-Time protection for sustained overloads and Instantaneous protection for short circuits. Both the thermal and magnetic trip points are fixed.
Is the Square D FCP34100 still in active production?
The FCP34100 is a legacy F-frame circuit breaker. For new installations or direct upgrades, Schneider Electric typically recommends the PowerPact H-frame series, such as the HJL36100, as a modern replacement.
Can this breaker be used in 240V systems?
Yes. While it has a maximum voltage rating of 480V AC with a 65kA interrupting capacity, it is fully rated for 240V AC systems, where it provides a higher interrupting rating of 100kA.
Does this breaker mount onto an I-Line bus?
No. The FCP34100 features a bolt-on connection type. It is not compatible with I-Line plug-on panelboards, which require breakers with specialized I-Line jaw connectors.
Does this breaker provide ground fault or equipment protection?
No. The FCP34100 is a standard thermal magnetic breaker with LI functions. It does not include ground fault or equipment protection features.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
