Product FAQs
5 answersWhich panelboards are compatible with the NB232020FED circuit breaker?
This bolt-on circuit breaker is designed for installation in Federal Pioneer and Schneider Electric NB series panelboards, including NBC, NBLP, and NBDP distribution panels.
How does the NB232020FED breaker connect to the panel busbar?
It utilizes a bolt-on mounting configuration. This requires physically bolting the breaker to the panelboard bus, ensuring a highly secure electrical and mechanical connection for commercial and industrial applications.
What wire gauge range is supported by the terminals on this 20A breaker?
The terminal lugs are rated to accept either aluminum or copper wire ranging from 14 AWG to 2 AWG.
Are Federal Pioneer and Schneider Electric NB breakers interchangeable?
Yes. Schneider Electric is the parent company of Federal Pioneer. NB series breakers manufactured under either brand name are direct replacements for each other in compatible Stab-Lok bolt-on panelboards.
How does the thermal-magnetic trip unit function on the NB232020FED?
The LI (Long-Time, Instantaneous) trip unit provides dual protection. The thermal component reacts to sustained overloads by heating a bimetallic strip, while the magnetic component trips the breaker instantaneously in the event of a short circuit.
