Yes, the PowerPacT H-Frame HGL36020 is the modern replacement for legacy 20A, 3-pole F-Frame breakers such as the FAL36020. Because H-Frame breakers have different physical dimensions than the older F-Frame models, panel or mounting modifications may be necessary during retrofits.
What wire sizes are compatible with the standard lugs on the HGL36020?
The factory-installed lugs accept either copper or aluminum conductors ranging from 14 AWG to 3/0 AWG. Ensure proper torque specifications are followed during installation.
What type of equipment is the HGL36020 compatible with?
This unit-mount, feed-thru breaker is designed for installation in industrial control panels, switchboards, and dedicated PowerPacT H-Frame enclosures. Because it is a unit-mount breaker, it will not plug into an I-Line panelboard.
Does the HGL36020 include a manual testing feature?
Yes, this PowerPacT H-Frame breaker features a built-in push-to-trip button. This allows qualified personnel to manually trip the breaker to verify the mechanical operation of the trip mechanism during routine maintenance.
Is the HGL36020 rated for 100 percent continuous operation?
No, this is a standard-rated breaker. It is rated for continuous operation at 80 percent of its 20A capacity in accordance with standard National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
