Built for commercial applications, the Square D FAL36030-2100 is a 3-pole, 30A molded case circuit breaker. It belongs to the legacy F-Frame family, delivering proven thermal-magnetic protection. This unit-mount breaker installs into compatible Square D enclosures and switchboards. For modern upgrades, it is replaced by the BDL36030, which requires a separate bell alarm accessory. Rated 25kAIC at 240VAC, it features a factory-installed alarm switch for remote trip signaling and Visi-Trip.

What does the -2100 suffix indicate on the FAL36030-2100?
The -2100 suffix designates a factory-installed alarm switch. This auxiliary component provides remote signaling when the breaker trips due to an overcurrent or short-circuit condition.
Which panels and enclosures accept the FAL36030-2100 circuit breaker?
This unit-mount F-frame breaker is compatible with legacy Square D enclosures, switchboards, and unit-mount panelboards. It is not designed for I-Line panelboards, which require plug-on bracket configurations.
How is the FAL36030-2100 mounted?
This breaker features a feed-thru, unit-mount design. It is secured using mounting screws and connects to the circuit via line and load side lugs, rather than plugging onto a busbar.
What type of terminals are included with the FAL36030-2100?
This breaker comes with factory-installed line and load side lugs that accept 14 AWG to 4 AWG copper or aluminum wire. Always verify the required torque specifications printed on the breaker faceplate before energizing.
What does the LI trip function code mean on this breaker?
The LI designation indicates that the breaker provides Long-Time (thermal) and Instantaneous (magnetic) trip functions. These fixed elements protect against both gradual overloads and sudden short circuits.
Is the FAL36030-2100 a current production model?
The FAL series is a legacy F-frame molded case circuit breaker. While it remains widely used for replacing existing units, Schneider Electric has transitioned to the PowerPact B-frame series for modern installations.
