No. The QO2015 is a non-CTL (non-Circuit Total Limiting) tandem breaker. It lacks the mounting rejection clip found on modern CTL breakers and is specifically designed for older QO load centers built before current circuit-limiting standards were adopted. Check your panel's wiring diagram to confirm it accepts non-CTL tandems.
Is it safe to use this tandem breaker for a multi-wire branch circuit (MWBC)?
No. Both the 20A and 15A circuits on this tandem breaker connect to the same phase (bus stab). If used on an MWBC, the shared neutral would carry the combined current of both circuits, creating a severe overload and fire hazard. MWBCs require the hot legs to be on opposite phases.
How much panel space does the QO2015 require?
This tandem breaker provides two independent circuits (one 20A and one 15A) while occupying only a single standard 3/4-inch pole space in a compatible QO panel.
What is the difference between the QO2015 and the QOT2015?
The QO2015 is a non-CTL breaker designed for older panels and does not have a rejection clip. The QOT2015 is a CTL breaker that includes a rejection clip, restricting its installation to specific tandem-approved slots in modern QO load centers.
