No. The EDB14030 is an E-frame breaker designed exclusively for Square D NF panelboards. NQ panelboards operate at lower voltages and require QO or QOB style circuit breakers.
What is the difference between the EDB14030, EGB14030, and EJB14030?
These breakers share the same physical frame size and panelboard compatibility but have different short-circuit interrupting capacities at 277V. The EDB is rated at 18kAIC, the EGB is rated at 35kAIC, and the EJB is rated at 65kAIC.
Is the EDB14030 suitable for HVAC and lighting applications?
Yes. This circuit breaker is HACR rated for heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. It is also HID rated for controlling high-intensity discharge lighting loads.
What is the required tightening torque for the load lugs?
The factory-installed lug requires a tightening torque of 30.1 lb-in (3.4 N.m) for both copper and aluminum conductors ranging from 14 AWG to 6 AWG.
Does the EDB14030 require a separate mounting kit to attach to the panel?
No. This is a bolt-on breaker with the mounting hardware integrated directly into the E-frame housing, allowing it to attach seamlessly to the bus of an NF panelboard.
Is it safe to use this 1-pole breaker on a 480V delta system?
No. Because it is a 277V rated 1-pole breaker, it is only safe for use on solidly grounded 480Y/277V wye systems. It must not be installed on ungrounded or corner-grounded 480V delta configurations, as the voltage to ground during a fault could exceed the 277V rating of the breaker.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments
