No. Although the EDB series is the modern replacement for EHB breakers, the EDB24015 only fits in NF panelboards. It will not mount into legacy NEHB enclosures that were originally designed for the EHB series.

The terminal lugs accept 14 to 6 AWG copper or 12 to 6 AWG aluminum conductors. Regardless of the wire size or material, the terminals must be torqued to 30 lb-in (3.4 N-m) for a secure, compliant connection.

The breaker provides an 18 kA interrupting rating (18kAIC) when installed on 480Y/277VAC systems. If it is deployed on a lower voltage 120/240VAC system, its interrupting capacity increases to 25 kA (25kAIC).

It depends on the available fault current. The EDB series has a standard interrupting rating (18kAIC at 480Y/277V), which is lower than the EGB (35kAIC) and EJB (65kAIC) series. It can only be used as a replacement if a short-circuit study confirms the available fault current at the panel is below 18 kA.

This breaker features the Square D Visi-Trip indicator. When a fault or overload causes the breaker to trip, the handle snaps to a mid-point position and a highly visible red flag appears in the indicator window, allowing for quick identification in a crowded panel.
