The HDA260354 has a lower interrupting capacity (18kA at 480VAC) compared to the HGA260354 (35kA at 480VAC). You can only substitute the HDA if your system's maximum available fault current is below the HDA rating.
What tool and torque specifications are required for the load-side lugs?
The standard AL150HD lugs require a 3/16-inch hex bit. Tighten 14 to 10 AWG aluminum or copper wire to 50 in-lbs, and 8 to 3/0 AWG wire to 120 in-lbs.
Are the trip settings on the HGA260354 adjustable?
No. This breaker is equipped with a fixed thermal-magnetic trip unit. Both the long-time (thermal) and instantaneous (magnetic) trip functions are factory set and cannot be adjusted in the field.
What safety precautions are required when installing this I-Line breaker?
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician. Always de-energize the panelboard or switchboard completely and verify power is off before seating the breaker onto the I-Line bus to prevent arc flash hazards.
