Yes. The white pigtail wire on the QO260GFI must be landed on the panel's neutral bar. This provides the 120V reference required to power the breaker's internal ground fault detection circuitry, even when the protected load does not utilize a neutral conductor.
What is the difference between the QO260GFI and the QO260GFI3W catalog numbers?
The standard QO260GFI is designed exclusively for 240V loads and does not feature a load neutral terminal. The QO260GFI3W is a 3-wire variant that includes a load neutral lug, making it suitable for 120/240V applications that require a load neutral connection, such as certain spas.
Are QO plug-on breakers compatible with Square D Homeline panelboards?
No. QO and Homeline product lines are engineered with completely different busbar mounting configurations and are not interchangeable. The QO260GFI is specifically designed for QO load centers and NQ panelboards.
What class of ground fault protection does the QO260GFI provide?
This unit provides Class A ground fault protection. It is calibrated to trip when a residual fault current of 6 mA or higher is detected, meeting NEC requirements for personnel protection in wet or damp locations.
Does this QO ground fault breaker provide arc fault protection?
No. This unit functions exclusively as a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI). It does not provide Combination Arc Fault (CAFI) protection. If your circuit requires both arc fault and ground fault mitigation, a Dual Function (DF) breaker must be installed.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
