7 answersWhat panels are compatible with the QO245GFI circuit breaker?
This breaker is designed specifically for use in Square D QO Load Centers and NQ Panelboards. It is not compatible with Homeline load centers or panels from other manufacturers.
Can I install this QO breaker in a Square D Homeline panel?
No. Square D QO and Homeline series breakers utilize different mounting designs and are strictly non-interchangeable.
How is the neutral connected on the QO245GFI?
This model features a pigtail neutral connection. The attached white coiled wire must be terminated directly to the neutral bus bar in the panel to power the internal ground fault circuitry.
Can the QO245GFI be used for 240V loads that do not have a neutral wire?
Yes. For straight 240V applications without a load neutral, you can leave the load neutral lug on the breaker empty. However, the breaker's pigtail neutral must still be connected to the panel neutral bus to power the internal GFCI electronics.
What level of ground fault protection does this breaker provide?
It provides Class A ground fault protection. This is designed for personnel safety and will trip the breaker if a ground fault of 4 to 6 milliamps is detected.
Does this breaker provide combination arc-fault (AFCI) protection?
No. The QO245GFI is strictly a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) and does not include arc-fault protection.
Does this breaker feature a tripped status indicator?
Yes, it includes the Square D Visi-Trip indicator. When the breaker trips due to an overload, short circuit, or ground fault, a red indicator window appears to help easily identify the tripped breaker in the panel.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
