No, it is only compatible with Class CTL (Circuit Total Limiting) approved QO load centers. The QOT2020 features a built-in metal rejection hook that prevents installation in older, non-CTL rated panels that lack the corresponding busbar notches.
What is the difference between the QOT2020 and QO2020 tandem breakers?
The QOT2020 has a physical rejection hook designed to prevent installation in a panel that limits or is not rated for tandems. The QO2020 is a non-CTL version manufactured without the hook, allowing it to act as a replacement in older single-phase QO panels regardless of tandem limits.
Can I install this breaker in a Square D Homeline panel?
No. Square D QO and Homeline series breakers have entirely different physical formats and busbar connection profiles. The QOT2020 will only mount onto the busbars of a QO-style load center.
Does the QOT2020 tandem breaker provide a single 240V circuit?
No. This tandem breaker provides two independent 20-Amp, 120V single-pole circuits while only occupying a single 3/4-inch space in the panel. It does not have an internal common trip and cannot be used to supply a 240V multi-pole load.
Why won't the QOT2020 seat fully into my panel slot?
If the breaker fails to engage the busbar properly, you are likely trying to install it in an un-notched slot. The CTL rejection hook physically blocks installation in any panel space not explicitly approved by the manufacturer for tandem breakers.
Is it safe to modify or remove the rejection hook on the QOT2020 to make it fit?
No. Modifying the tandem breaker by cutting or altering the rejection hook violates its UL listing and NEC regulations. This bypasses the safety mechanism designed to prevent installing more overcurrent devices than the panelboard was designed and listed for.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
