Maximizing available enclosure space, the Siemens Q3015 delivers independent 30A and 15A circuits from a single one-inch pole. This QT series tandem provides a cost-effective way to add branch circuits without upgrading the panelboard. It installs easily into compatible Siemens EQ, PL, ES, and Ultimate load centers via a plug-on connection, and substitutes for the older MP3015. Delivering a 10 kAIC rating at 120/240V, the unit features thermal-magnetic protection and is HACR certified.

Product FAQs
6 answers
What type of load center is required to install the Siemens Q3015?
The Q3015 is a CTL (Circuit Total Limiting) tandem breaker. It must be installed in a Siemens, EQ, Ultimate, PL, or ES series load center that is specifically designed to accept CTL tandem breakers. These panels typically have notched bus bars to accept the breaker's rejection clip.
Can the Siemens Q3015 replace older Murray tandem breakers?
Yes. Siemens acquired Murray and phased out the Murray brand. The Siemens Q3015 is the official, UL-listed replacement for the discontinued Murray MP3015 tandem breaker.
Is the Siemens Q3015 breaker HACR rated?
Yes, this QT series tandem breaker is HACR rated, making it suitable for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment that requires this specific rating.
How much panel space does the Q3015 require?
This is a duplex or tandem breaker, meaning it provides two independent circuits (one 30A and one 15A) while only occupying a single 1-inch space on the panel bus bar.
Can I use this breaker in a non-CTL panel?
No. The standard Q3015 features a rejection clip designed for CTL panels. If you have an older non-CTL panel that allows tandems without notched bus bars, you would need the non-CTL version of this breaker, typically designated with an NC suffix.
Does the Q3015 provide AFCI or GFCI protection?
No. The Q3015 is a standard thermal-magnetic breaker. It does not provide arc-fault (AFCI) or ground-fault (GFCI) protection.
