As a discontinued model, it offers an exact fit without requiring adapters, though it is replaced by the CED63B020. This bolt-on C-frame breaker is specifically designed for use in Siemens and legacy ITE switchboards, as well as motor control centers. It is not compatible with standard residential load centers or commercial panelboards that require plug-in or different bolt-on frame configurations.
What are the acceptable wire sizes for the terminals on this breaker?
The factory-installed lugs accept copper wire ranging from 14 AWG to 1/0 AWG, and aluminum wire from 12 AWG to 1/0 AWG. Always verify that your conductors match these ranges and apply the manufacturer recommended torque during installation.
How does the current limiting feature benefit the electrical system?
As a current limiting breaker, the CF3B020 clears faults extremely fast to reduce the peak let-through energy. This allows the breaker to achieve exceptionally high interrupt ratings, such as 200kA at 480VAC, which helps protect sensitive downstream components from severe short-circuit damage.
Can the trip settings be adjusted on the CF3B020?
No. This breaker utilizes a thermal magnetic trip unit with fixed long-time and fixed instantaneous trip functions. Neither the thermal overload nor the magnetic short-circuit pickup can be field adjusted by the installer.
Will a Siemens CF3B020 directly replace an older ITE branded version?

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
