The CHB2100 is designed for use in Cutler-Hammer Type PB and Type PH panelboards, as well as compatible meter panels and multi-metering modules.
Can I use a CHB breaker in place of a standard CH breaker?
No. CHB breakers like the CHB2100 feature a bolt-on connection, whereas standard CH breakers use a plug-on mounting style. They are not interchangeable.
What wire sizes and materials are accepted by the CHB2100 terminals?
The box lugs on this breaker accept 4 AWG to 1/0 AWG copper or aluminum (Cu/Al) wire.
Is the CHB2100 HACR rated for HVAC applications?
Yes, this breaker is HACR rated, making it suitable for use with heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.
What is the proper way to reset a tripped CHB2100 breaker?
When tripped, the handle moves to a middle position between ON and OFF. To restore power, you must first push the handle firmly to the full OFF position before switching it back to ON.
Are BAB and CHB breakers interchangeable?
No. While both are bolt-on breakers, BAB (Quicklag) and CHB breakers are designed for different panelboard types and have different physical dimensions. You must use the specific frame type listed on your panelboard label.
Do I need to de-energize the panel before installing the CHB2100?
Yes. Because the CHB2100 is a bolt-on breaker, it requires a physical bolted connection to the bus bar. The panel must be completely de-energized before installation to prevent arc flash and electrical shock hazards.
Can the CHB2100 be surface mounted or DIN rail mounted?
Yes, when combined with the appropriate mounting base, CHB breakers can be used for surface mount and DIN rail mount cable-in/cable-out applications.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
