This Series C F-Frame breaker is typically installed in Eaton Pow-R-Line 1a, 2a, 3a, and 4 panelboards, as well as legacy Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse switchboards built for F-Frame dimensions.
Can I use the EHD3015 to replace an old Westinghouse breaker with the exact same part number?
Yes. Eaton acquired the distribution equipment divisions of both Cutler-Hammer and Westinghouse. A newly manufactured Eaton EHD3015 is the direct, drop-in replacement for any legacy Westinghouse or Cutler-Hammer breaker sharing that catalog number.
Does this breaker include lugs on both the line and load sides?
No. Because it is a bolt-on panelboard breaker, it comes standard with load-side lugs only. The line side is designed to bolt directly to the panelboard bus assembly. For standalone wire-to-wire mounting, a line-side lug kit must be sourced separately.
Is the EHD3015 rated for continuous operation at its maximum amperage?
No, it carries a standard 80 percent continuous current rating. According to standard electrical codes, continuous loads operating for three hours or more should not exceed 12 amps, which is 80 percent of its 15-amp handle rating.
