It is designed for Eaton and Cutler-Hammer Series C panelboards, including Pow-R-Line models such as the PRL3a, PRL3X, PRL4, and PRL4X. You will need the appropriate F-Frame connector kit for your specific panel.
Does this breaker include the hardware to mount it to the panelboard bus?
No. As a bolt-on branch breaker, it requires a separate panelboard connector kit. For example, a PRL3a panel typically uses a KPRL3AFD3 twin-mount kit, while a PRL4 uses a KPRL4FD kit.
What is the correct replacement lug kit for this breaker?
For standard 14 to 1/0 AWG copper or aluminum conductors, use Eaton lug kit part number 3T100FB or 3TA100FD.
Can I upgrade the interrupting capacity without modifying the panel space?
Yes. The EHD3080 is an F-Frame breaker rated at 14 kAIC at 480 VAC. If your system requires a higher fault current rating, you can install an FD3080 (35 kAIC), HFD3080 (65 kAIC), or FDC3080 (100 kAIC). They share the exact same physical dimensions and panelboard compatibility.

No. This breaker uses a non-interchangeable fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit. The long-time and instantaneous trip thresholds are permanently set from the factory.
Is this breaker suitable for reverse feed applications?
Yes. Eaton Series C F-Frame thermal-magnetic breakers do not have restrictive line and load markings, making them suitable for reverse feed use.
Can this 80A breaker be used for High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting?
No. While Eaton F-Frame breakers carry an HID rating, that certification only applies to models rated from 10 to 50 amps. Since this is an 80A breaker, it is not HID rated.
Is the EHD3080 rated for HVAC equipment?

Expedited Shipments
