Description

Operating as a standalone overcurrent device, this 90-amp unit-mount MCCB delivers reliable thermal-magnetic protection. The L suffix indicates factory-installed line and load lugs. This configuration mounts into standard Eaton enclosures and control panels rather than bolting to a busbar. It provides a versatile solution for isolated circuit protection needs. What is the difference between the Eaton EHD3090 and EHD3090L?

The "L" suffix in the EHD3090L catalog number indicates the breaker is supplied with standard line and load side lugs installed from the factory. The base EHD3090 does not include lugs.

Which Eaton panelboards are compatible with the EHD3090L circuit breaker?

This F-frame breaker is designed for use in Eaton Series C panelboards, switchboards, and enclosures. It can be installed in PRL3a and PRL4 panelboards when equipped with the correct F-frame connector kits, such as the KPRL3AFD3 or KPRL4FD.

Is the EHD3090L suitable for reverse feed applications?

Yes, Eaton Series C F-frame thermal-magnetic circuit breakers, including the EHD3090L, are suitable for reverse feed use.

What are the lug torque specifications for the EHD3090L?

For the standard slotted-head lugs accepting 14 to 1/0 AWG wire, the required torque varies by wire size: 35 lb-in for 14-10 AWG, 40 lb-in for 8 AWG, 45 lb-in for 6-4 AWG, and 50 lb-in for 3 to 1/0 AWG.

Is the EHD3090L rated for use in DC circuits?

Yes, this breaker is rated for DC applications up to 250VDC with a 10kA interrupting capacity. Depending on the system voltage and whether the load is grounded or ungrounded, multiple poles may need to be wired in series.
