Is the Eaton FD2080 the same as the Cutler-Hammer FD2080?
Yes. Eaton acquired Cutler-Hammer and continues to manufacture these Series C F-frame breakers under the Eaton brand. They are exact drop-in replacements for older Cutler-Hammer branded units.
Can I use the FD2080 to replace an ED2080 or FDC2080?
The FD2080 shares the same physical dimensions and mounting footprint as the ED2080 and FDC2080. However, you must verify that its 35kAIC rating at 480VAC meets your system requirements, as the FDC has a higher interrupting capacity and the ED has a lower capacity.
Can the FD2080 be used in DC circuits?
Yes, this breaker is rated for 250VDC applications with a maximum interrupting capacity of 10kAIC. It is commonly used in industrial DC control and distribution circuits.
What wire sizes are accepted by the standard lugs on this breaker?
The standard factory lugs accept 14 AWG through 1/0 AWG copper or aluminum wire. Always ensure proper torque specifications are followed during installation to prevent arcing.

Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping

Expedited Shipments

The breaker we purchased was as advertised. The breaker fit perfectly. We purchased reconditioned breaker and it seems to be working properly, accordingly to the golf course maintenance team that supervises the irrigation system.
Next day shipping came quickly even though the 4th of July was coming.
I wish it came with new installations hardware but that isn’t a deal breaker.
