What are the physical dimensions of the FD3175 breaker?
This 3-pole Series C F-frame breaker measures 6.00 inches in height, 4.13 inches in width, and 3.38 inches in depth.
Can I use an HFD3175 or FDC3175 to replace an FD3175?
Yes. The HFD3175 and FDC3175 are exact physical drop-in replacements for the FD3175 but offer higher short-circuit interrupting capacities (65kAIC and 100kAIC at 480VAC, respectively). Upgrading to a higher-rated Series C F-frame breaker is a standard practice when the original is unavailable, provided it meets or exceeds your panel's fault current requirements.
Is the FD3175 suitable for reverse feed applications?
Yes. Eaton Series C F-frame thermal magnetic molded case circuit breakers are suitable for reverse feed use. This allows power to be supplied to either the line or load side terminals safely.
Can the trip curve settings be adjusted on this breaker?
No. This breaker is equipped with a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit. The Long-Time and Instantaneous protection thresholds are factory set. If field-adjustable trip settings are required, you must specify a breaker with an electronic trip unit, such as the Eaton FDE3175.
Does this breaker support field-installed internal accessories?
Yes. Series C F-frame breakers can accommodate standard internal accessories, such as shunt trips, undervoltage releases, auxiliary switches, and bell alarms. These modular accessories install into the designated pockets located under the front cover.

Expedited Shipments

The breaker we purchased was as advertised. The breaker fit perfectly. We purchased reconditioned breaker and it seems to be working properly, accordingly to the golf course maintenance team that supervises the irrigation system.
Next day shipping came quickly even though the 4th of July was coming.
I wish it came with new installations hardware but that isn’t a deal breaker.
