Description
Engineered for industrial power systems, the Eaton FDC3070L is a 3-pole, 70A molded case circuit breaker. It utilizes thermal-magnetic trip technology to provide precise long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection. This unit-mount F-frame breaker installs into Eaton Series C panelboards, switchboards, and motor control centers. It comes equipped with both line and load side lugs. The L signifies that the breaker is supplied from the factory with standard pressure line and load lugs. These terminals are pre-installed and ready to accept 14 to 1/0 AWG copper or aluminum conductors.
Can I use the FDC3070L to replace an older FD or HFD breaker?
Yes. The FDC frame shares the exact same physical dimensions and mounting footprint as standard FD and HFD breakers. It offers a higher interrupting capacity, making it a direct drop-in upgrade for older Series C F-Frame installations.
Are the trip settings adjustable on this model?
No. This breaker features a fixed thermal and fixed magnetic trip unit. The trip functions are non-interchangeable and cannot be adjusted in the field.
How is a unit mount breaker installed in a panelboard?
Unit mount breakers are designed to be bolted directly to a backpan or mounting plate. When installing this breaker into an Eaton Series C panelboard, you will need the appropriate mounting bracket or strap kit to connect the breaker to the panel bus.
Is this breaker rated for direct current (DC) systems?

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
