This plug-on breaker is designed for use in Eaton BR series load centers. It is also backward compatible with legacy Bryant, Challenger, and Westinghouse panels that accept Type BR breakers. It will not fit Eaton CH series panels.
What level of ground fault protection does the GFCB260 provide?
The GFCB260 is a Class A GFCI breaker, meaning it is calibrated to trip when it detects a ground fault current of 5mA. This provides personnel protection against electrical shock in wet locations like spas, pools, and outdoor circuits.
How is the neutral connection wired on this breaker?
This breaker features a traditional pigtail neutral. The coiled white wire must be connected directly to the neutral bus bar in the load center to power the internal ground fault circuitry.
Does the GFCB260 replace any older or newer part numbers?
Yes, the GFCB260 directly replaces legacy Bryant and Westinghouse GFCB260 breakers. It also serves as the predecessor to the newer Eaton GFTCB260, which includes updated self-test functionality.
Does this breaker require a dedicated neutral for the load?
Yes, for the GFCI function to operate correctly on 120/240V circuits, the load neutral wire must be connected directly to the load neutral terminal on the breaker, not to the panel neutral bus.
Can this breaker protect straight 240V loads without a neutral?
Yes, as a 2-pole 120/240VAC breaker, it can protect straight 240V loads, such as a heater or pump without a neutral, as well as 120/240V multi-wire branch circuits. The pigtail must still be connected to the panel neutral to power the breaker.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
