The 'L' indicates that the breaker is supplied with factory-installed line and load terminals (lugs). These standard lugs accept 14 to 1/0 AWG copper or aluminum conductors.
Can the HFD1020L replace standard FD1020L or ED1020L breakers?
Yes. The HFD1020L shares the exact physical F-Frame dimensions as the FD1020L and ED1020L but offers a higher interrupting capacity (100kAIC at 240VAC). It can safely replace these lower-rated breakers in existing Series C panelboards and enclosures.
Which panelboards and enclosures are compatible with this breaker?
This unit mount breaker is designed for use in Eaton Series C panelboards, switchboards, and standalone F-Frame enclosures. It is an industrial molded case circuit breaker and is not compatible with standard residential loadcenters.
Is the HFD1020L rated for direct current (DC) systems?
Yes, this breaker is rated for use in DC circuits up to 125VDC with a maximum interrupting capacity of 10kAIC.
Does this breaker include ground fault or arc fault protection?
No. The HFD1020L features standard thermal magnetic trip functions (Long-Time and Instantaneous) for overload and short circuit protection. It does not provide GFCI or AFCI protection.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
