Yes. Eaton acquired the distribution equipment division of Westinghouse and continues to manufacture the Series C product line. The Eaton MDL3600 is a direct, drop-in replacement for both legacy Westinghouse and Cutler-Hammer breakers that share the same catalog number.
Is the MDL3600 rated to carry its 600A capacity continuously?
No, this is a standard-rated breaker intended to carry up to 80% of its nameplate amperage for continuous loads lasting three hours or more. If your installation requires a 100% continuous rating, you will need the CMDL3600 variant.
How many conductors can be landed on each phase?
The factory-installed line and load lugs feature a dual-barrel design, allowing you to terminate two conductors per phase. These terminals accept 1 AWG through 500 kcmil aluminum or copper wire.
Does this breaker feature adjustable trip settings for coordination?
No. The MDL3600 utilizes a thermal-magnetic trip unit with fixed thermal and fixed magnetic pickup points. It provides standard long-time and instantaneous (LI) protection but does not have field-adjustable dials for custom trip curve shaping.
Does the MDL3600 plug onto a busbar or mount to a backpan?
This is a unit-mount, feed-thru breaker equipped with standard line and load lugs. It is designed to be fastened directly to an enclosure backpan or mounting plate and hardwired on both ends.

Free Shipping Policy
Parcel shipments with item value over $99 qualify for free economy shipping within the continental US. Please call to confirm special handling instructions. We do not charge a handling fee or require a minimum amount on any order. SuperBreakers does not ship on customer accounts.
Same Day Shipping
We strive to ship out your items the same day the order is placed. In rare circumstances SuperBreakers may reserve up to 5 business days to consolidate orders for complete shipment.
Expedited Shipments
Orders being shipped via Next Day Air, 2 Day Shipping or 3 Day Shipping must be received by 3 PM EST to guarantee same-day shipments. Expedited orders only ship on normal business days. Shipments will NOT be sent out on Saturdays and Sundays.
International Shipping
