This bolt-on breaker is designed for Eaton Pow-R-Line commercial and industrial panelboards, including the PRL1a and PRL2a series. It is not compatible with standard residential plug-on load centers.
What is the difference between the BAB2080 and the QBHW2080?
Both are 80-amp, 2-pole, bolt-on breakers in the Eaton Quicklag family. The difference is their short-circuit interrupting rating. The BAB2080 is rated for 10kAIC, while the QBHW2080 provides a higher 22kAIC rating.
Can the QBHW2080 be used on a 277/480V system?
No. The QBHW2080 is rated for a maximum of 120/240VAC. It cannot be used in 277V or 480V applications. For those higher voltage systems, a different breaker series like the GHB is required.
What wire sizes and materials are accepted by the QBHW2080 terminals?
The box lugs on this breaker accept 8 AWG to 1/0 AWG wire. You can use either copper (Cu) or aluminum (Al) conductors.
What does the LI trip function indicate on this breaker?
The LI designation means the breaker features Long-Time and Instantaneous trip functions. The thermal long-time element protects against sustained overloads, while the magnetic instantaneous element trips immediately during a short circuit.
Can I replace an older Westinghouse QBHW2080 with this Eaton model?
Yes. Eaton acquired the Westinghouse distribution equipment line. An Eaton or Cutler-Hammer QBHW2080 is the direct replacement for an older Westinghouse breaker with the exact same catalog number.

Expedited Shipments
